Working as Koum—Korean for “dream”—Ji turns everyday moments into small invitations to wonder. Sparked 15 years ago by Steve McCurry’s portraiture of India, Ji has traveled the world to capture and uncover love, humanity, and the shared memories that live inside ordinary scenes.
What is most important to his work is the memory—proof that we were here. As he photographs stories on assignment, commissioned series, and during travel, it’s essential that every photo stands on its own and shares its emotive soul with those who look into them.
Images should simply suggest that life itself is already a dream if we slow down long enough to see it.
